Childversity - Specialising in Neuroaffirmative Autistic Identification

About Us

Childversity specialises in Neurodiversity Affirmative Autistic identification for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years. The practice was established in 2021 by a Psychologist and a Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years combined experience of working with Autistic children and young people and their families. The importance of working closely with the Autistic community and of being informed by the preferences and needs of the community is at the heart of Childversity. Our aim is to collaborate with and celebrate the Autistic community.

Practice Values:

1.     To engage in neuroaffirmative practices.

2.     To engage with members of the Autistic community in relation to how our practice is run and how we are serving the needs of the community.

3.     We are LGBTQIA+ affirmative.

4.     We aim to celebrate Autistic experiences, promote Autistic Acceptance, and spread awareness of the value of neurodiversity and appreciate the diverse Autistic culture of experience, thinking, learning, communicating and forming connections.

5.     To support those who experience challenges and barriers in relation to living in a world that has been primarily designed to accommodate only one neurotype rather than all of human neurodiversity.
